Seaport Spotlight: How To Watch The Red Sox Playoffs

About 4 week(s) ago by Seaport Boston Hotel

We Bostonians don't like to brag. OK, fine. We do. Our local teams are doing amazing this year, and the Red Sox are facing off against the Houston Astros tonight in the American League Championship Series. The home team is coming in with momentum, up a game in the overall series. If you're looking to root-root-root for the Red Sox while they play down in Texas, we have a few favorite watering holes around town to find a great bar bite and pint to last you all the way into extra innings. Herewith, our favorites:
•    Bleacher Bar (82A Lansdowne St., Boston): This bar is so close to Fenway, you can smell, er, feel the AstroTurf. Bleacher Bar is popular with Red Sox fans because it is built beneath bleachers where the outfield wall meets the Green Monster. With a great view of center field, this watering hole is extremely popular on game day. Even if the Red Sox aren't in town, it's worth a trip to get up close with Major League Baseball history. For tonight, it'll be a great spot to cheer on the team while they're down in Texas.
•    Tony C's (250 Northern Ave., Boston): Closer to the hotel, Tony C's offers big screens with a waterfront view. Tony C's at the nearby Liberty Wharf is an expansive bar with massive televisions, comprehensive menu, and towering beer glasses. Arrive hungry, thirsty, and ready to cheer on the Red Sox.
•    Stats Bar & Grille (77 Dorchester St., Boston): Deep in the heart of South Boston, Stats has become a mainstay for longtime Southie residents as well as the explosion of twentysomethings that continue to pour into all the new apartment developments along Broadway. Everybody may not know your name here, but they will by the time you leave. This popular, oft-crowded watering hole can get rowdy on game nights, but the bar menu, friendly service and enthusiastic crowd make it a fun time.
•    TAMO (1 Seaport Lane, Boston): Sometimes, you just want to watch the game without leaving the front door. At Seaport, you don't have to! Toddle down to TAMO just past the front lobby, and let our talented mixologists whip you up something nice and saucy to go with the first pitch. Our extensive dinner menu is certain to have something to please your palate while our libations, whether in a pint glass or served straight up, are always a home run.
