  • What are the current City of Boston regulations around meetings, as they differ from the state?

    We are under the jurisdiction of the City of Boston which has the ability to be stricter than the State. We do have a great relationship with City officials and refer to the City website and Greater Boston Convention & Visitor’s Bureau (GBCVB) for updates as it affects our ability to host your meeting.
  • What does a virtual meeting experience look like or a socially distanced meeting?

    We recently launched our web enabled Larkin Boardroom & Lounge, which seats 20 (or 6 – 8, socially distant) and boasts plug & play capabilities for any and all web, video and teleconferencing needs.
  • Can I see what socially distant capacities look like?

    Yes, we offer a variety of socially distant floor plans and capacity charts, which can be found here.
  • What type of cancellation policy do you have during these incredible times?

    As an independent hotel, we value each and every customer relationship. As such, we are working with our customers to allow for flexibility in attrition clauses and rebooking of cancellations.
  • Is food & beverage available for my meeting and how is that provided safely?

    We have taken pride in working with our Director of Catering and Chef to create fully COVID responsible menus and serving options for all types of events. Specifically focusing on served meals, and buffets with individual small plates. As well, our service staff follow the strictest guidelines of serving as they do in our restaurant.
  • Planning a Meeting or Event?

    Seaport is fully compliant with the opening requirements of both the City of Boston and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Phase IV stage 1 opening protocols and checklist to reopen. As well, our successful Safe Stay program requires all active employees to go through training before entering the workplace. Our COVID-19 workplace hygiene is inclusive of daily temperature and wellness checks, and all team members are required to wear masks.
  • How frequently are you cleaning your public spaces, rest rooms and meeting rooms and what are some of the safety measures you have implemented?

    The hotel's schedule of cleaning and sanitizing has been enhanced; this includes all public areas including doorknobs, door frames, handles & railings, elevators and other common touch points every hour;

     

    All cleaning products have been approved by the CDC;

     

    Fogging machines will be deployed to sanitize larger rooms and spaces;

     

    A Clorox 360 electrostatic cleaner will be used nightly in all public areas;

     

    Touchless hand sanitization dispensers have been added to high traffic areas for both guests and team members. This includes the registration and Concierge desk in the main lobby and entrances to all meeting rooms and restaurants;

     

    UVc lighting has been installed in our air ducts to purify the air;

     

    Protective glass has been installed at the Registration Desk, Concierge Desk and Seaport Café for safety ;

     

    Trash receptacles and hand sanitizer have been placed in each meeting room;

     

    Capacity signs and social distancing decals space out rest rooms, registration desk areas, elevators and food and beverage service stations (when in use);

     

    Housekeeping maintains cleaning logs for all work completed;

     

    Guests are required to wear masks in all public spaces.
  • How are you serving food & beverage safely to meeting attendees?

    Seaport has implemented new standards and service approach to buffets, banquets and catering service;

     

    Menus have been redesigned to serve a variety of both boxed meals, individually wrapped “ to go” options and creative bento boxes for each meal period;

     

    Social distancing decals will be in place for applicable food stations and bars;

     

    72” tables seat no more than 6 guests socially distanced;

     

    Options include served meals and served stations that allow for individual small plates;

     

    Utensils are individually wrapped and condiments are all individually presented to guests;

     

    Coffee stations are manned or served tableside for seated guests;

     

    Attended stations feature screens;

     

    Seaport’s service staff follows the strictest guidelines of serving as they do in our restaurant.
  • What steps have you taken to ensure the safety of meeting and event attendees?

    Seaport undertakes frequent deep cleaning of meeting and event spaces;

     

    Socially distanced seating and meeting room layouts are provided;

     

    Convenient access to hand sanitizer is in every room;

    We have removed individual pens and notecards from meeting rooms;

     

    Seaport asks that all meeting and event attendees sign a waiver of liability, which includes information for contact tracing;

     

     Proper signage is visible throughout the property reminding all guests of the proper way to wear masks and correct handwashing procedures.
