Celebrating September at Seaport

It's not quite fall but once we turn the page on the calendar to September, it seems we always "fall" into an autumn state of mind.

And what better place to celebrate the entrance of fall than Boston?  The leaves aren't ready to turn yet but there are still plenty of great things to see and do as the weather gets that wonderful crispy feeling.

Speaking of crispy how about heading out to one of the areas many orchards to enjoy some old-fashioned apple picking with family and friends?  Check out a list of local orchards that are within easy reach of Boston and enjoy some great tasting apples, apple cider, apple donuts and more!  Visit www.mommypoppins.com/boston-kids/fall-activities/best-places-to-go-apple-picking-with-kids-near-boston for many great suggestions.

And if apples aren't your fruit of choice, there's a good chance you'll enjoy a bit of the grape at the City Winery on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, just a short walk from the hotel.  Enjoy great wine and food on one of the city's loveliest and liveliest green urban spaces. Visit www.citywinery.com/boston/thegreenway for more information.

If you're a Downton Abbey fan and can't wait for the movie to come check out the Downton Abbey exhibit at the Boston Park Plaza and check out the period pieces and costumes that the Dowager Countess, Lady Mary and Mrs. Banks would've experienced back in the day.  Visit www.downtonexhibition.com for more information.

Of course we hope you'll make the Seaport Hotel your home away from home while exploring autumn in Boston.  We're family friendly with great activities for the kids including an indoor pool and we're also parent friendly with a great selection of wines and craft cocktails at TAMO Bistro + Bar!  Visit www.seaportboston.com for more rates and availability!
