World Ocean School Aboard the Roseway
Local non-profit, the World Ocean School, via the 137' schooner Roseway, provides engaging and hands-on programs at sea which empowers students from a variety of backgrounds, providing a platform where they feel strong and appreciated and which motivates them to be engaged community members. One of only six original Grand Banks schooners, built in 1925 in Essex, Massachusetts, the Roseway offers 2 hour harbor cruises throughout the summer that are open to the public.
World Ocean School now offers Executive Development Programs, giving teams of 12 - 25 participants the opportunity to observe their own behavior and their team dynamics in a safe yet challenging and fun environment.
