Rose Kennedy Greenway

The Rose Kennedy Greenway, one of Boston's newest public parks, is essentially a roof top garden as it sits on top of a highway tunnel. The 17-acre park stretches through many of Boston's neighborhoods including Chinatown, the Financial District, the Waterfront and North End, and features landscaped gardens, plazas, fountains, art and specialty lighting systems. The Conservancy provides programming throughout the year that is open to the public, including fitness classes, food trucks, beer gardens, and concerts. The Rose Kennedy Greenway is named after Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, the matriarch of the Kennedy Family who was born in the neighboring North End.
