Seaport Spotlight: See the City Via Water Taxi

We love traveling in sustainable, green style at Seaport. We offer complimentary bicycles for kids and adults to pedal throughout the city, and we love utilizing our adjacent MBTA stop. However, you probably don’t realize that we also have our own stop on the year-round Boston Harbor Cruises water taxi line! Picking up and dropping off across the street from the hotel at the World Trade Center, the water taxi is a great alternative to getting stuck in notorious Boston traffic.

While we think our own neighborhood is tops for dining out, East Boston is also a great option for local flavor. There is truly no better way to get there than just hopping aboard the water taxi and motoring straight across Boston Harbor. You can be whisked from our front door to the fun scene at Eastie’s KO Pies (think: Aussie-inspired meat pies, beer, and lawn games) in mere minutes!

Considering just how congested Atlantic Avenue can be, the water taxi also offers a quick way to get to historic Charlestown.

Bounce from Seaport to the USS Constitution Museum in a flash and explore the history of Old Ironsides. While there, explore the Charlestown Navy Yard and stop for drinks and a delicious meal at Pier 6 Restaurant—a perfect place to enjoy an Instagrammable fall sunset over the skyline!

While we are close to Logan Airport, the traffic in the Williams Tunnel can make mere miles turn into a major headache. The water taxi runs between the hotel and the pier at Logan Airport with connecting bus service to all of the terminals. Grab your bags, hop aboard, and take to the sea! To arrange a water taxi pickup, please dial 617-227-4320.
