Ladies, put on your Manolos and grab a Cosmo: a slice of Sex and the City is coming to Boston! The Boston Business Journal reports that New York’s Magnolia Bakery—made famous by Carrie Bradshaw & Co.—is eyeing a northeastern expansion with Boston on its radar. The sweet treats could be arriving in the Hub as early as next year if all goes to plan!
Originating in New York’s Greenwich Village in 1996, Magnolia is arguably the birth of the cupcake trend that has devoured the country in recent years. While locations exist outside of Manhattan in Los Angeles, Chicago, and abroad, this would be the first batch in New England. The company confirms they are scouting local locations but won’t divulge specifics. Fingers crossed that we will be getting their red velvet and confetti cupcakes mere steps from the hotel!
