A Four-Legged Look at Boston

While we love (and require) two-legged guests checking into our hotel, we also welcome their four-legged companions with open paws! We allow pets on-leash throughout the property apart from Wave Health & Fitness, as they get plenty of cardio tending to their duties as man's best friend. Seasonal events like our Howl-o-Ween pet costume party and Canines & Cocktails on TAMO Terrace during the summer keep our social calendars pet padded! We offer pet toys, beds, doggie bags, and complimentary treats upon arrival. For those looking for ways to stretch their two (or four) legs, we recommend the following tail-wagging services and spots for you and your pooch:

1. Urban Hound (129 Malden Street, Boston, 617.755.5775, urbanhounds.com): Owner Rebecca Willson's South End doggy daycare, hotel, and spa has been a neighborhood staple since it first opened in 2003. Offering pick up and drop off services to the Seaport, her Urban Hound team can pop by and have your pup rocking a fab new makeover just in time for yappy hour at TAMO. UH is expanding its dog walking services throughout the neighborhood, and we couldn't be more excited. Reach out and pamper your pup with some outdoor time with the UH team while you go about your busy day in Boston.

2. Harborwalk (access points across the street near the World Trade Center): The Harborwalk is the perfect opportunity for a morning sprint or stroll with your canine companion. This waterfront path gives visitors views of the downtown skyline and iconic Boston Harbor. Whether you just want a quick jaunt or longer stroll, this path runs all the way to Charlestown's Navy Yard—with dog-friendly patios and a few spots to roll in the grass along the way!

3. Castle Island (2010 William J Blvd, Boston): Take a peek at history and head to this South Boston respite where Fort Independence has stood since 1634. Used more by joggers and pet owners than minutemen these days, Castle Island is a perfect perch for picnics. Offering views of the harbor and planes taking off and landing at Logan Airport, the greenspace is a must for you and your barking buddy. Be sure to save room for treats at Sullivan's, a hamburger shack and neighborhood favorite by Castle Island's parking lot!

4. Polkadog Bakery (various locations, polkadog.com): Baked in South Boston and sold in locations throughout greater Boston (the North End and South End outposts are closest to the hotel), Polkadog Bakery offers small batch, handmade treats to your pup – think of it as Magnolia Bakery for the canine crowd. The company became a national name in 2012 when Target came knocking and wanted to feature it as one of its first "Main Street USA" brands. Despite the explosive exposure, the Polkadog team still manages to stick to its locally sourced ingredients that made it a household name.
