Join List Center curatorial assistant Selby Nimrod for a walkthrough of Alicja Kwade: In Between Glances. This guided exhibition tour and informal conversation will offer a close look at the materiality of Kwade's work.  Thinking through the specificities and historical resonances of the materials and fabrication methods Kawde employs, we will consider how her sculptures both replicate and challenge concepts of value within the context of art making and outside of it. About the Speaker Selby Nimrod is the curatorial assistant at the MIT List Visual Arts Center, where she contributed to the catalogue accompanying Alijca Kwade: In Between Glances. Previously, she held positions at SculptureCenter, New York, and Site Projects, New Haven. She has organized group exhibitions, screenings, and performances at institutions including the International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York; the Kitchen, New York; Hessel Museum of Art, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York; Seton Gallery at the University of New Haven; and a swimsuit factory, among others. Her writing has appeared in Contemporary Art Review Los Angeles, AQNB, and Big Red & Shiny. All programs are free and open to the public.
