Gilded with guest performances from Béla Fleck, John Scofield, and Mike Gordon, singer-songwriter Reid Genauer brings his unique version of folk to Boston. Genauer first hit the national stage fronting the band Strangefolk in the mid 1990s. He went on to cement his reputation as a prolific songsmith and band leader, fronting a second grassroots success story—Assembly of Dust.
Assembly of Dust and Strangefolk showcase psychedelic-infused folk rock, and have been compared to Paul Simon; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; and the Band. Although Strangefolk leans toward a psychedelic sound and Assembly of Dust leans toward Americana, the backbone of both bands are Genauer's trademark songs, characterized by crafted lyrics, American stories, and authentic vocal performances.
