Warm weather and sunny skies are here, and that means Boston's menus are getting a lot crabbier! There's no better summer treat than finding the fruits of the ocean on your plate. We at Seaport have a few favorites throughout the city as well as offerings quite close to your room:
- Barking Crab (88 Sleeper Street, Boston): No visit to our neighborhood is complete without a trip to the lively bar and picnic tables at the Barking Crab. Just one stop away on the Silver Line, the Barking Crab has infamous oyster shooters, amazing views of downtown Boston, and plenty of crab. Be it crab dip, claws from the raw bar, or the whopping four pounds of crabmeat found in the King Platter, this is quite the haven to meet, eat, and be merry.
- B&G Oysters (550 Tremont Street, Boston): Barbara Lynch is the reigning queen of Boston cuisine, and her cozy, subterranean South End seafood venue is perfect for just about any occasion. The crabmeat cocktail and snow crab claws are perfect starters to any meal at B&G—especially now when you can enjoy the beautiful back patio for dining al fresco!
- Ostra (1 Charles Street South, Boston): When you're looking for sophisticated seafood, look no further than Ostra. Mere steps from the Boston Public Garden, this Mediterranean-influenced establishment boasts a diverse menu, chic bar, and live piano entertainment. While the Alaskan King Crab is always a good choice, be sure to try the highly popular crab risotto!
However, why go far when crab is so near? Our own TAMO Bistro & Bar is offering two crab specials for the month of June. Be sure to try the fried soft shell crab with lettuce, tomato, onion, and Green Goddess dressing on a brioche bun for $15. We are also offering pan-seared soft shell crabs with coconut curry sauce, basmati rice and sautéed pea greens for $22. Plus, our TAMO terrace is now open for the season to give you outdoor dining and gorgeous views of Boston Harbor!
