We’ve watched the neighborhood grow around us, and we’ve never been more elated to see a missing piece of the puzzle filled! A satellite clinic of South Boston Community Health Center opens today, across the street from Seaport at Waterside Place—finally bringing the Seaport District its first major health care provider. Offering traditional primary care in addition to preventative services, the organization will also provide access to lab and radiology, eyecare, dental, a pharmacy, and specialty care.
South Boston Health in the Seaport will be open Monday-Friday and accept all major insurance plans. Its central location at D Street and Congress (next to the World Trade Center MBTA station) means it will be convenient for patients all over the neighborhood. Plus, primary care physicians on staff will be able to treat children and adults. We at Seaport are huge fans of South Boston Health and are home to its annual “Harvest of Hope” fundraiser on November 10th. This coupled with this week’s opening proves that the Innovation District is both happening and healthy.
